With Grimsholm Green heat shrink joint connection, you create waterproof joints in your robot installation. With solder that melts and creates a secure connection combined with double glue ring seals on each side of the connection, both good contact and high insulation against ambient moisture are provided.

In addition to the insulation that takes place through the joint coupling's double gluing rings, a shrink hose is also included, which contains hot-melt glue and which gives the coupling extra protection.

This splice coupling requires the use of heat to melt the solder as well as to shrink the surrounding insulation. Suitable equipment for using this connection is a heat gun, cigarette lighter or the like.

NOTE! For best results, and for the "Grimsholm Green 10Y" guarantee to apply, the coupling must be used together with a cable that has a copper core, e.g. cable from Grimsholm Green which contains "Premium" in the article title. If the coupling is used together with a cable that has an aluminium core or other conductor material, the function may be impaired.

WHEN TO CHOOSE FOR A LONG OR A SHORT HEAT SHRINK JOINT COUPLING?

The long heat-shrink coupling is 420 mm long. It can, for example, replace a signal cable piece of approx. 190 mm.
The long Heat-shrink coupling is best to use if you are going to repair a signal cable that has been in the ground for a long time, in case there is a risk that there is moisture in the cable, the long coupling can replace the piece of signal cable you have to cut away.

The shorter version of the heat-shrink coupling is 50mm.
This version of the heat-shrink coupling is best suited when you lay the cable for the first time or when it has not been in the ground for that long time.
